Just thought i’d share this with everyone (as i don’t remember showcasing it).

    Voice Of Bolton
    http://www.voiceofbolton.com

This is a fansite and also supports the independant non-profit organisations (Official BWFC Supporters’ Association & Official BWFC Former Players Association) where i’m a committee member on both associations.

It’s using Ja Corona, which you can see has been HEAVILY modified.

It’s using a number of components, which again have been heavily modified to support the content I require with one unique custom made component which controls my frontpage articles (as I have around 8 editors who write for the site).

Hope you like it (just waiting for the comments from the Blackburn fans now – lol).

    Feedback is welcome.

Even as a Leeds Utd fan (not that we have much to cheer nowadays) I have to admit that’s a real nice site.

Nice menu system, good colour scheme and a great customisation of the original template.

If I had to nitpick (believe me, it took me about 20 minutes to find anything I could criticise) it would be the fact that the ‘Log In’ button has square corners, yet everything else on the site has round corners!!!
    😉

Mind you, that really is clutching at straws, I couldn’t spot anything else I didn’t like!

Oh, and it’s past twelfth night so switch the snow off! 😀 🙂

By the way, good luck tomorrow, Wenger’s guys are no pushover 😉

    Hi,

It is past the twelfth, but it could still be snowing. It is still winter, at least some place. 😀

The site is very nice , lots of information, stuff the fans would be interested in, and I’m sure they will love the site too.

Comments: I think I would try some pictures on the front page. Players, the fans, something to add to the first impression, as well as to give it some more color.

Also the 3 modules right under the Rumor Message are very close together, so that the word from pone almost touch the other.

Apart from that, you have done a great job.

    Congratulations!!

Indeed, currently minus 12 here, deep snow and we have only just got running water back after 10 days of carrying bottles from a nearby mineral spring!!

    Maybe that’s why I wanted the snow switching off 😉 🙂 😀

    Hi Anisjolly.

I like your site. It looks very clean and sleek. I found 1 bug on the page “Former Players’ Association News”. The text runs into the right column, see the attached image.

    For the rest, thumbs up!!

    good spot

thanks for the feedback guys – keep it coming.

regarding the images, as i’m on the official committees, we can’t exactly use ‘stolen’ images on the site. We’ve tried to reach an agreement as we’re non-profit with the club to use their image work but it’s still ongoing.

we’ve also tried to get official premier league photographers actionimages to donate a few but for 10 images it’s £500.

hence being non-profit has it’s downsides but it’s better for the fans.

    fixed 🙂

Will take the snow off at the end of the week. As everyone says – it’s snowy everywhere but here in the uk BUT it’s tooooo bloody cold – after all i came back to the uk in december (after i went on a break) from a country where it was 45 degrees during the day and 30 degrees during the night.

    Where’s that darn heater gone?

Sorry about that. Wanna swap? Here it is 25 – 30 plus, sunshine, just beautiful. Maybe that’s why I wanted to keep the snow, because I miss it, and the skiing.

    Crikey, that sounds steep 😮

Probably cheaper to go to a few matches, try to get a spot near the tunnel and take a decent digicam 🙂

Only if you dig my car out: 😀

Seriously though, I can’t really complain. When it was 35-40 degrees in summer the wife and I were waiting for winter … now we’re waiting on summer again!!!
