March 30, 2010 at 9:23 am #149971For some reason my site (http://www.dailyregister.net) has just stopped loading and started coming up with the following error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 89116 bytes) in /home/dradmin/public_html/plugins/system/plg_jausersetting/ija_usersetting.php on line 84
I’ve re-installed the template and it worked for a short time.
What is the problem?
March 30, 2010 at 7:29 pm #338494Disable the SEO Generator plugin, it´s overloading your server. Probably you want it to generate keywords for every article or something like that right??

I tried that and now get the following error message:Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 41 bytes) in /home/dradmin/public_html/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 462
I believe the problem lay in how the JA-News module uses memory. When I disable it the site works fine!

It seems that the problem may not lie in ja_news as I have just received this message from my hosting provider:“Please be informed that one of your account , dailyregister.net is utilising a lot of server resources
and has just caused rhe server to crash an hour ago. It took us nearly 30 mins to restore the server
services. We have attached the screenshot that shows that you account is constantly utilising 23% of the server CPU, and up to 66% at times.
I am regret to inform you that we are unable to host this site on this shared server as this site is utilising too much server resources which is causing the stability and normal functioning of the server. You might want to consider migrating the site to other server or VPS which can better handle the load and usage”
Given the fact that I removed janews a week ago, it leads me to believe that the problem lay in the actual template.

The site is working very slowly. the site has a big data, you should have a plan to improve performence of the site:
1) Re- Index tables in the database
2) turn on some cache
3) reduce HTTP Request :http://www.joomspot.net/how-to-speed-up-optimize-joomlas-performance.html
4) remove some plugins have never used in your site…….

Yep. Done all that. The FP News module will only work with the normal frontpage module. If I don’t show anything on the normal frontpage I get the memory error.Saguaros ModeratorSaguaros

Done. The domain is http://dailyregister.net/ and as you will see, not having the content on the standard frontpage module is causing this error:Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16 bytes) in /home/dradmin/public_html/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 462

April 15, 2010 at 5:07 am #340423Dear jclivingstone!
This is a bug of core joomla, i have fix this issue as follow:
1) add the following text into the .htaccess file:
php_value memory_limit 128M
This uses to increase the memory of server, but this solution is not best. we must to wait for the solution from the jooma’s developers
Thanks
