    Hello savers,

My website with Joomla 2.5 and Purity 2 had been hacked.
I manage to save the latest database and with my previous files backup I had again a Joomla 2.5 in local.
I work on local, on my computer now. On the server is only the hacked version.
I decided to take this opportunity to update to Joomla 3 and Purity 3.
Because I had some error, I decided also to make a fresh install of Joomla 3.3, still with Purity 3 and with my database.
This second version is almost good but I still have problem with Puity 3.

On the site side, when I want to use the search module or when I want to create an account, recover a login or recover a password, it show me a blank page with written “Sidebar” and below the name of my website.
If in configuration.php, I put public $error_reporting = ‘maximum’; instead of default, then I have this three error reported :

Notice :Trying to get property of non-object in /templates/purity_iii/tpls/blocks/masthead.php on line 12
Notice : Trying to get property of non-object in /templates/purity_iii/tpls/blocks/masthead.php on line 17
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/yogo/public_html/Joomla3clean/templates/purity_iii/tpls/blocks/masthead.php on line 17

I tried also with the fresh database (empty) from the fresh install, then, I don’t have any problem… However, it’s not a solution as I need the content of my database.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I’m travelling around the world but I should be stable in Delhi the time for you to reply and I’m sure, help me.
    Best regards,

    Thatoo

As I thought the problem was coming from database, I tested, replacing first by group of table then table by table (table from fresh install and table from my database), and I found that the problem is linked to the table j25_menu .
I’m trying to solve the problem by myself but if you have idea, I’d be happy.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

Have you tried to uninstall then re-install JA Masshead module ?

    Hi Thatoo,

Did you solve it? cause I have a similair error as “Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/yogo/public_html/Joomla3clean/templates/purity_iii/tpls/blocks/masthead.php on line 17”

Would appreciate if you could share your solution.

    Thanks,
    Michiel

    Hi @den_dhaeze
Please create your own topic with issue. It would help us easier to follow user’ issues.
    About this issue

    $mast_title = $activemenu->params->get ('masthead-title');
    $mast_slogan = $activemenu->params->get ('masthead-slogan');

You can try to check params is object before use it. Or just turn of display_errors.

    Thank you,

no sorry, I don’t remember exactly what I did. I think I kept my old database except the j25_menu. I took the one form a fresh install and then I re-create all my menu. I know it had been a quiet log job to do.
Sorry to not be able to be more useful.
I hope you’ll find your way,

Hi Viet Vu, thanks for the reply.

Yes I created my own thread but nobody’s responding (http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/fatal-error-call-to-a-member-function-get-on-a-non-object-in/…).

Could you be a little more precise about the solution because I don’t know much about php? Like how do I check the params and what/where do I have to change? and how do I turn of display_errors?

    Many thanks
    Michiel
