    I get this error:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2899969 bytes) in /hsphere/local/home/blikfanger/blikfanger.dk/libraries/joomla/utilities/buffer.php on line 66

    I´m installing JA Raite in a clean Joomla installation. I have read other similar threads here in the forum to get help.

    in public_html/php.ini i have these values (I have placed public_html in the root)

    memory_limit = 256M
    upload_max_filesize = 256M

    I´m new to Joomla and some help would be appreciated

    Hello,

    Go to the Joomla Administrator. Login.

    The Go to Help > System Info > PHP configuration. Just check the upload limit and memory limit, many a times the file you are putting must be uploaded to some other folder.

    Regards,
    Mihir Chhatre.

    After login, I go to

    help > joomla > help > system info but in either Configuration File or under PHP settings I can find anything about upload limit and memory limit. Do you know what file, I´m supposed to change the values in – then I will find it manually.

    When i read your orignal question you said that you created the public_html folder yourself?

    Dont do that, place the php.ini in your root,

    I have places php.ini in my root folder. Just to try, I have set the upload_max_filesize to 500 mb but I still get this error message when trying to install JA Raite or even JA Nickel

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2899969 bytes) in /hsphere/local/home/blikfanger/blikfanger.dk/libraries/joomla/utilities/buffer.php on line 66

    Help would be appreciated

    Dear steflick,

    Check this plugin http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/hosting-&-servers/servers/7747/details

    Try using it and increase the limit from 32 MB to 128 MB in the backend of this plugin. This should help or else, edit your first post >> click on Require Help from Admin / Mods >> and enter your site login details, so that we can try to have a look and fix it for you.

    regards

    Hi steflick,

    I just installed it using install / uninstall feature. 🙂

    I am not sure what you were trying to install. But just to say >> unzip the downloaded Zip package.>> go to template folder >> install the tpl_raitej15.zip only.

    Hope this helps…

    Regards

    Hello

    I can see, that I have been trying to upload and install the whole zip file. Meaning this one: ja_raite_for_joomla_1.5.x.v1.0

    I thought that was the point. Guessed that the content of the whole folder was important to Joomla. Isn´t it?

    Dear steflick,

    it seems you got confused. I shall try to clear the same.

    • ja_raite_for_joomla_1.5.x.v1.0.zip >> It contains Extensions / Quickstart and Template.
    • To Install a demo site using Quickstart one needs to use the zip from Quickstart folder (after unzip of original downloaded zip) and installed as normal Joomla Installation (but clicking on Install Demo Content).
    • To Install just the template (void of sample data and extensions), one need to install the zip from Template folder (after unzip from downloaded zip) and installed as normal Install / uninstall function in an already installed Joomla Site.

    Hope it clears the confusion.

    Regards

    IF you wish to have Demo site of Ja Raite and then customize it as per your taste, then you need to use the Quickstart zip file to upload to your server and install as normal Joomla zip installation.
