Hello I get following fatal message clicking on JA VOICE home menu.

Fatal error: Call to a member function getTemplate() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/chelmsford/templates/ja_portfolio/html/com_jacomment/themes/portfolio/html/comments/getbutton.php on line 24

Joomla 1.7.3 and Ja Portfolio for 1.7. All my plugins and components are uptodate. I appreciate help on solving this issue.

This one i guess because trouble between J15 & J17 .
May i know :
– Which JA Portfolio template you have installed ? Please make sure it’s J17 version
– Same with JA Comments ?

At moment you can prevent this trouble by rename

/templates/ja_portfolio/html/com_jacomment
into

/templates/ja_portfolio/html/com_jacomment-

And please update this ticket w/ your site access & FTP so i can help you for checking.

Below are my issues, all related to JA Comment:

1- If I set JA Comment, Layout, Theme to JA Portfolio I get following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getTemplate() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/chelmsford/templates/ja_portfolio/html/com_jacomment/themes/portfolio/html/comments/getbutton.php on line 24

If I set to default there is no error.

2- If I set my SEF url on, then Ja Comment inside JA Voice does not work and it redirects to a page saying “no item”.
If I turn SEF off, then this issue is resolved.

3- I have uninstalled JA comment and cleaned DB, reinstalled all uptodate com and plugins and turned the content plugin on but I cannot see the JA Comment appearing at the end of my articles.

I have the most uptodate joomla 1.7.3, template ja portfolio 1.7, and uptodate all ja extensions.

I have submited a ticket one week ago and after few days I received an email that your login does not work! I have sent the same login details (no doubt that they work) and still no reply!

Yes, because this template override for JA Comments have trouble.

May i have URL for take look ?

Please make sure you have installed JA Comments plugin ?

I would help you for these trouble but please update this thread w/ your backend / ftp access.

Hello,

I did write a PM to you, few hours ago with admin login details. The files are also accessible from eXtplorer component in back-end.

I have defintely installed all JA comments plugins and they are all enabled.

I will be grateful if you could have a look. Thank you.
