The slideshow2 module prohbits my page from loading. I remember from a recent “ores” installation that a ‘resized’ directory was required but I’ve tried that and it does not seem to help.

When loading the page the specific error I receive is;

Warning: call_user_func() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘imagecreatefromjpeg’ not found or invalid function name in /var/www/Joomla/community/modules/mod_jaslideshow2/jaimage.php on line 268

Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecreate() in /var/www/Joomla/community/modules/mod_jaslideshow2/jaimage.php on line 281
If I disabled the module the remained of the page loads without issue.

My original installation was completed using the quickstart template with the sample data. The OS is Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS. The install directory is /var/www/Joomla/community/.

Any help would be appreciated. I have searched the forums without success.
