I am trying to add a favicon to Ja Teline II site.
I uploaded it to images, but can’t find the old one in the index html file to change.
I could use some step-by-step help.
Any would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Matt</blockquote>open the template’s root folder and replace the favicon.ico image to your favicon image. force reload the web page with ctrl + F5 and you will see your favicon in place.

April 4, 2009 at 6:30 pm #300056I think that component is a bit pointless when all you have to do is replace one file.
In this case the favicon is located in templates>ja_teline_ii>favicon.ico
Just remember to clear your browsers cache and the joomla cache if you are using one or you will still see the old favicon.

Phil >> Yup, Agreed and supported, that’s the way it has to be done. For making a favicon out of a pic one can use online favicon ico makers (google it). Why load a component in joomla for it.
