I am trying to add a favicon to Ja Teline II site.
I uploaded it to images, but can’t find the old one in the index html file to change.
I could use some step-by-step help.
    Any would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

open the template’s root folder and replace the favicon.ico image to your favicon image. force reload the web page with ctrl + F5 and you will see your favicon in place.

I think that component is a bit pointless when all you have to do is replace one file.

In this case the favicon is located in templates>ja_teline_ii>favicon.ico

Just remember to clear your browsers cache and the joomla cache if you are using one or you will still see the old favicon.

Phil >> Yup, Agreed and supported, that’s the way it has to be done. For making a favicon out of a pic one can use online favicon ico makers (google it). Why load a component in joomla for it.

No, via ftp. Just browse to it in your ftp app.
