I have uploaded the new favicon to the root directory, directly under ja_mendozite, but it was not showing the new favicon. Tried clearing the cache and refresh, still nothing.

I searched and found this on the forum:

Hi,
The way you did is right.
Uploading file into
/plugins/system/jat3/base-themes/default/images/favicon.ico
and override it.
Please wait for a minute to get affect.
Also clear cache from your browser to see the changes.

I wanted to update to let users know that this did resolve itself, it must have just needed a little time to refresh itself. After 24 hours it was working.
