Hi, love this template – great job. All is working fine except I can’t find a ‘Feature Projects’ module. I tried creating a new one but don’t know how to list all the icons as you have on the modules guide.

Am I missing something obvious? :p

    Thanks,
    Tanya 🙂

    Hi Tanya,

The purpose of the ‘Feature Projects’ module is just for demonstration. It’s just a static module, and we put an image on this, it’s no real functional module you know. However, you can for sure develope a module to show your projects or something like this with Joomla!

Wow, that was a quick reply! Thanks Hieu Ngyuen. Glad it wasn’t a silly question. When I’ve worked out how to do it, I’ll post it 🙂 Unless anyone else has done it..?

Hi, I’ve worked out how to do it.

    1. You need to first create the icons (between 15-50pix square – to fit 3 icons across is they need to be ~45px). Upload them to your server directory (I placed mine straight into the ‘Stories’ folder) and write down the image url for of each of the icons (ie http://mysite.com / folder / imagename.gif’.)

    2. Go into Modules in your Site Admin and create a new module called ‘Feature Projects’ (or similar) – scroll down and you see the text edit box to place the icons. Click the picture icon to insert an image – and in the Image URL box put in one of the URLs you wrote down – the preview box should show your image – if not, you’ve got the image URL wrong. Click ‘Insert’ and there’s your first icon.

    3. To place more icons, you just need to type a space between each one and continue adding them in the same way.

    4. Then you need to create a new content section and subsequent content for each of the icons you want to link from. The new pages you created will have their own url – go to those pages, copy the url and go back into the ‘Feature Projects’ module and in the text edit area, link the icon image to the appropriate content url you copied.

    5. Voila!

    Hope that’s straight forward.
    Tanya 🙂
