Hi,
It would be great if we could also specify the format of the extra field. I am using a range slider and it starts from 0 – 20 000 000. It also a price field so I would like it to read R0.00 – R20 000 000.00 and adjust as user slides.
Feature request 2: It would be great is the result page could be responsive like k2 is. When using 2 columns they squash up rather than site below each other when the screen size is reduced.
Feature Request 3: It would be nice to NOT have to filter on required fields. ie: my price field is required in K2 for the users who capture data BUT I don’t want visitors searching the site to have to specify a price. They may not care about price but care about how many bedrooms the estate has etc…
Feature Request 4: It would be great to TURN OFF the module when its in item view. Once a user has drilled down to the item they want, There is no point (for me at least) to have the module sitting down the side. K2 seems to include it always.

Regarding your questions

Yes, it would be a nice feature. I have created issue in our system and we will apply his feature in the next version, you can check status of this issue at http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JAK2FILTER-128
Thank you for your suggestion.
Feature request 2: It would be great is the result page could be responsive like k2 is. When using 2 columns they squash up rather than site below each other when the screen size is reduced.

Our component use template files and style of K2 theme for displaying result, so if your template supports responsive, then the result page of K2 filter will also be responsive.
Feature Request 3: It would be nice to NOT have to filter on required fields. ie: my price field is required in K2 for the users who capture data BUT I don’t want visitors searching the site to have to specify a price. JA K2 Filter module provides flexible settings for configuration of your form, you can select fields to hide/show in your form. In your case, just hide Price field in search form.

Could you provide more details about your issue? do you want to turn on or turn off module in item view? This issue can be resolved by updating menu assignment settings in module configuration form.1 user says Thank You to Thanh Nguyen Viet for this useful post

Feature 2 – I discovered afterwards that my template wasn’t as responsive as I thought. You right there.
Feature 3 – I want the price field in the search and therefore have placed in it the module to show. However because it’s a required field in the extra fields for K2 (not talking about your module yet), then it seems that when I use your module the search returns a null result if I don’t specify a value from the required extra fields. Ie: I want – If the user does NOT specify a price range to search on then it should not be a criteria. At the moment it makes the criteria WHERE PRICE = 0. Am I doing it wrong?
Feature 4 – When I click on the “For Sale” menu K2 takes me to the category_item page (top listed items are here AND your module down the right to further filter), then when I click on an item it takes me to the item page (or when I search for something I want and click on it). Ie: when I search for a property and then select one the module should not appear on the item selected page (optional) as I have found what I am looking for. Does that make sense? The problem is you cannot turn off the module on this page. I did succeed in doing it by embedding your module in the metamod module and specifying the following:
if (!($option == 'com_k2' && $view == 'item')) return 101;
🙂

No, if you do not select price in search form, then this creteria will be ignored in query, so it will return items with any price.

Feature 4

I am not sure if it is problem, I’ll try to duplicate your issue in my end. And I will apply a fix for the next release if it need any update.
