March 27, 2017 at 3:45 am #1021992For the admins/development: Please read this as constructive feedback, no intention to complain or worse!!! That’s why I’ve sent it private and not open in the forum. Feel free to publish in the forum if you think its necessary.
I’ve been using the Joomlart builder for almost a week now and sofar I have to say I’m not really impressed (yet!)
The template that is created is done by stacking horizontal full width containers on top of eachother. (normal procedure)
The customisation of the containers is limited and is used for almost everything inside the container.I would like to be able to set the width of the containers, and preferably set the width of one main-container to control the width of the whole page.
-
Header: The set background color is for the whole container, but I would like the logo menu to be white, the menu buttons to be blue and menu button hover to be grey and the menu button active to be red…..
I can’t set the regular menu textcolor, other than being "standard style color" -
Hero: same as the other containers, width control. When I add a Text I can only use the standard font colors and types. Why not add options for this in the edit screen?
-
Spotlight: I want to have 3 blocks under my Hero section. I can do this by using "Spotlight" and add custom css style to each block. But I’m limited to only using a module or position in each block! I want to add text and a button and each block should have it’s own background color and font/colors. If I choose "Feature" I can set the number of columns to use, but the columns can’t be edited separately for color/font, background color etc and I can’t set an additional class. They all have the colors as set by the container options.
- Footer: Same issue with the fontcolors. (footer 1.1) I can change the "menu titles" from text to image or widget etc, but when I choose widget to show a footermenu module, it’s not showing the module title. When I select a module with an image, it’s not showing at all.
I know I can control a lot of these things above by adding the custom css, but it’s a lot of extra work and not what to expect from a builder. It would be easier to buy a complete template and modify to my needs.
I’m sure you have your own ideas about a perfect builder, but maybe it’s worth having a look at Thrive Themes Builder (wordpress)
https://thrivethemes.com/contentbuilder/
If you want I can give you acces to a site with this builder? To end on a positive note: Support is awesome and I’m fully aware that it is a new project that will improve in the coming weeks/months!!
Best regards,
VictorThanks for the feedback Victor, we will surely work on it and make builder more flexible.
Thanks again.
Regards
Arvind
