November 4, 2013 at 9:22 pm #191978Hi,
I would like to create a filter that allows a user to change the range of price of houses to filter using two drop downs (one for the minimum and one for the maximum price).
Example: the user selects € 100.000 in the first drop down (minimum value), € 250.000 in the second drop down (maximum value) and clicks on Search. As a result the houses with prices between € 100.000 and € 250.000 are displayed.
How can I configure the JA K2 Search Module to get the result mentioned before?
Thanks,
EtchotLuna Garden ModeratorLuna Garden

November 5, 2013 at 4:04 am #511201Hello Etchot,

The result after applying the filter should be the same as using an ‘opened’ range. For example: if the user selects +3, all the houses with 3 or more rooms should be displayed.

In order to make the range as you requested:
1. In K2 Extra Field, the Type of Extra Field should be Text
2. In Module Manager of JA K2 Filter, choose the type to display is Range Slider. You can read more about Range Slider in JA K2 Filter: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-component/ja-k2-filter#new-feature (find for version version 1.0.7, Feature 4etchot Friendetchot

November 5, 2013 at 1:16 pm #511260Hello Luna,
I am afraid your post above corresponds to my other question: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/filter-based-on-an-opened-range-using-a-drop-down-for-example-2-rooms/
Anyway, thank you for your answer.

Yes, my mistake, your two questions have the same answer. Please follow my above instruction to create Range Slider filter. You can check the demo of Range Slider in our demo: http://demo.joomlart.com/joomla-extensions/ja-k2-filter/dynamic-counter (see Price option in the left column)
