    Hello

Has anyone encountered any problem using fireboard on ja_barite? I get a nasty error in both ie and ff

    http://www.flytoquebec.com/forum/

    ja_content.getCoordinates is not a function
    equalHeightInit()ja.script.js (line 72)
    (no name)()ja.script.js (line 275)
    [Break on this error] var content_coor = ja_content.getCoordinates();

    any help is welcome 😀

    Hello schlogo,

I don’t get that type of errors while browsing your forum with FF, Opera or IE.
We’re using Barite and Fireboard (see it here) and If I remember, I got some issues too in the begining.
Anyway, I see that your french translation of your firboard is incomplete 🙂

    What is your Fireboard version?

    Hello

Tks for your answer, I am looking at the translation at this very moment 😀 Tks for checking, I am using joomla 1.5.5 and fireboard 1.0.4, are you with the same vonfiguration?

No, I use Joomla 1.0.15 and Fireboard 1.0.4 with some tweaked files, fixes and so on.
The developers of Fireboard released a new version of Fireboard wich may be of use for you.
Version 1.0.4 is not so good with SEF wich I saw youre using.
Before digging deeper into the translation, get the latest build from here : LINK
If you don’t want to reconfigure your forum, get the converter from here : LINK

Install the converter, then uninstall it.
    Uninstall the Fireboard 1.0.4.
Install the latest build of 1.0.5 and proceed with the translation

Also, I saw that you are using some CSS in your template wich don’t belong to Barite.

I recomend you to save that to a file and link it from index.php of your template.

Tks, I ve seen this build but the devs said it should not be used as the official beta for fb 1.0.5 will be out in a few days. I ll upgrade as soon as they ll release it 😀

Sure you will, but meanwhile you won’t find if your error comes from fireboard or some other things 😀
Also, it’s easier to upgrade from 1.0.5 RC to 1.0.5 stable.
What you didn’t saw is that the devs from BoJ are also using now some build of 1.0.5 in their forums.
    So, why to be affraid?:)

you have a point , they mentioned in the post I ve read that they are using 1.0.5 on test forums. They also say they need to fix bugs in the next days. As i am not in any rush, as there are no posts in the forum yet…I ll wait rather than create problems I can avoid

so , the last build, that could be rc any minute has been published on bestofjoomla. Running the version 1.0.5 forum, i get exactly the same problem

It looks like you have an error with some script.
    Check here : http://i33.tinypic.com/b3tw6a.jpg
Try to disable the plugin and see where it gets you. (just rename the folder “components/com_fireboard/template/default_ex/plugin/jtip/” )
It might be the language and the encoding but I’m not sure.
I’ll set up a test site and see if I get the same error. 🙂

    Hello

it s actually a conflict between jquery and mootools

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/fireboard-conflicts/

    http://www.bestofjoomla.com/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,38/func,view/id,43286/catid,73/limit,10/limitstart,10/

I only have the issue on the first fireboard page for now, i ll update the post as soon as it s all gone
