Hi Bosse,
Are you still having trouble with your downloaded version?
It is possible that it is not the QuickStart kit which is really the problem but the way your server is configured.
I offered this to another fellow Teline II user, here. I have several multisite accounts with my webhosting service where each domain will have its own control panel. If you want, I can set up a temporary (free) domain site for you, so that you can try doing a QuickStart Installation. It will give you a chance to try a Linux server also.

June 12, 2008 at 5:18 pm #253295Hello Cornelio,
I still have problems and I think it is related to the combo Joomla 1.5.3 and the JA 1.3.1
I am installing on both my live server Linux Plesk on a VPS and having the same problems here with my local Win Server so I would like to set up another domain with the firs ver.
But yes way dont we try a vanilla install on your server?
Could you send me the details?Bosse

Sure Bosse,
I am setting up one for akt1 also. It takes forever to load the Joomla1.5.3-JA Teline II QuickStart.
I will load my version which works. And then try to you install to install it.
Then, try your version. I will let you know when they are set up.

June 12, 2008 at 7:45 pm #253310Cornelio,
I am doing a deep dive into the JA code and I am finding some strange stuff.
I do think that my main problem with formating on the first page is wrong.
It is intentionally like that I belive. I think that the first ver. I was installing was missing a CSS!
I will just try to figure out wich one.
I am also on to the error message one gets when not loged in. But I have not found the problem so far. I posted a new tread about it.
This might be related to atempt to REMOVE the JA backlink from the highslide module. When goinging trough the code it is full of that crap! Criminal in my opinion or at least un ethical. And I am strting to get pissed of on this kind of crap from JA.I have also found a strange conflict it seems with JCE editor and bad validation. But I cant figure out what it is….. working on it!
I keep going at it in this end.
BTW the sow speed could be memory starvation it seems that J1.5.3 needs tons of it asigned. I am using 32 Mb at the moment! On J1.o I used 8Mb I think.

June 12, 2008 at 9:28 pm #253330Hi Bosse,
You are very brave, I would not at this stage attempt to go over the entire template.
One of the reasons why I do not use Joomla 1.5x is that it is so slow — even before any other extension is added.
There is indeed a missing CSS (see my post in the feedback), but I do not think it will affect the whole page.
I just sent you a private correspondence. Please check the information. Please countercheck the information with the Raw data. Let me know if there is any missing information to do the installation.
Please send me a note, once you are able to download the nfo-bosse.shtml file.
Good luck
