October 2, 2013 at 6:25 pm #191116I am trying to setup a blog page. I selected a few articles to be displayed (also featured them). These are articles which are also displayed in the demo page of Fixel.
Unfortunately, it keeps on showing a post oif “What’s new in 1.5?”.
I just want the blog to look as the one in the demo. How can I do this?
In the menu manager, I selected for the blog the following menu item type: Archived Articles. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance!

October 3, 2013 at 7:44 am #507887Hi,
Indeed, I am referring to the j-blog page.
The problem is, I can’t find the “category blog” at “menu item type”. It shows when I click “select”:
– Contacts
– Articles
– Smart Search
– Newsfeed
– Search
– Tags
– Users manager
– Weblinks
– Wrapper
– JoomShopping
– System linksWhere can I find the “category blog”?

I did spend quite sometimes to debug this issue you have mentioned above and phew, I finally got it all figured out. The issue related to the missing folder: COM_CONTENT (components/com_content/views/category), probably have been deleted earlier on.
That explained why all the customizations you have made on the Fixel Category Blog(JA Fixel template), Category Blog and Category List (COM_CONTENT) did not show up on your site. But no problem, that got fixed, so now it’s running just fine.
You can check this out yourself. The Fixel Category Blog(JA Fixel template), Category Blog and Category List (COM_CONTENT) on Menu Item Type are now BACK.
I hope this helps in anyway. In case it didn’t, please do not hesitate to shoot back to me.

Open language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_ja_fixel.ini file
FIXEL_COM_CONTENT_REGISTER_TO_READ_MORE ="Read more"
FIXEL_COM_CONTENT_READ_MORE ="Read more"
FIXEL_COM_CONTENT_READ_MORE_TITLE ="Read more"1 user says Thank You to Ninja Lead for this useful post
