Hello,

I have 2 websties where I use JA fixel template but the Fixel Category Blog differs in layout. I am not sure what the difference is or how to fix it.

This is the ideal one. The 600X600 image of the latest article automatically appears on the category blog page: http://kroeshaar.com/Table/Mijn-Blog/Nieuws-enzo/

This is the not ideal page where I miss the main 600X600 image showing up on the category blog page: http://going-natural.com/list/video-diaries/

Can you please check what the difference is or explain how to fix it?

I just replied on your other thread. I found a problem on your site which I am dealing with as well.

On your Dutch website, when opening the main article, the social media buttons on the top right corner are not arranged properly. The Youtube button slides under the Facebook button so that the main menu doubles in hight 🙂

Hi simplesite,

I think you can simply see the reason of the problem when you set to display 2 video-diaries items (grid1x1) and one Google Adsense module item (grid1x2) at the grid-pos-3. That is why there is no main 600X600 image appearing on the category blog layout of Video Diaries menu item.

In order to get the item with 600×600 image on Video Diaries page, you can try these steps:

– Disable or change the position of Goog Adsense module.
– Go to the backend of Neco Williams or Nakia’ Hair Story Video article and select 2×2 in Grid Type option.

The intro image of that item will look like my attached snapshot.

Actually the question is still not answered. If I do the page heading then I only see the white area. The image of the latest article will still not show up as the main large image of the page.

My fixel layout is like a blog layout now and I am trying to get it to the original way. Please help.

Here is what I mean. Both content/option/settings are the same for Blog/Featured Layout:

Yet the result is different:

I think the 1st image is the original template and I want that back but I don’t know how.

Hi simplesite,

There are two reasons we can easily realize the difference between the blog layout page as you mentioned.

– The blog layout not only does depend on the Blog/Featured Layouts of Content Manager but also the menu item backend settings.

– In order to get the same layout as the JA Fixel demo’s category page, firstly you need to select the Fixel Category Layout menu item type. But, in the 2nd image of you, you are trying to use the Category Blog of Joomla.

Anyways, you can get the same Fixel category layout by referring the menu item backend configuration of our template demo. See this: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/847/6115397604.png
