The client may want to put a flash logo where the current logo is. How do I put a flash movie there? I tried to call it up through the css file but it did not work. Thanks.

Peter,
I checked the site and it is already loading very slowly (not everyone have very high speed connections, even in the US), because it is using the bulky Joomla 1.5x.
If you add flash, it may just slow down further.
Personally, as a visitor, I do not like Flash intros — they really do not add much to the experience. Just another “whistles and bells” — any additional image (or icons) just slow the page loading. Just my own bias; but I read many professional webdesigners who do not like flash also, for the reason I indicated.
I would be more concerned actually by the security of the site. If you use the default registration-login (since it only verifies legitimacy of the email address), there might be quite a number of spammers or even bots that could fool the process.

Sorry Konstantakos, I apologize. I got carried away with my own preferences. — Cornelio

June 8, 2008 at 12:48 am #252497No problem. I do know however that I must embed the movie into the index.php file in the spot where the logo goes. Could a module position be added to there? Then I could place the flash logo in the module and publish it. That would poprbably work best.
Answers? Moderators? Experts?
Thanks
