Well thanks for lookin at this post.
Im using joomla 1.5Im trying to place a menu swf across the top of this template.
see http://www.digital-outlaw.com -the box on the top right should have the menu items displayed as well.The items are diplayed when you navigate directly to it, see – http://digital-outlaw.com/templates/janagya/comercial.swf . :confused:
Does anyone have an idea of why they are not displayed?
The items not displayed are dynamic and are controled via xml file using absolute urls to on same domain. Is there a conflict with this template or joomla security that wont let them come through.
code:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

</param>
</content>The flash menu is coded on the template index.php and placed in the ja-login module. would that casue a conflict?
code:<div id="ja-login">
<jdoc:include style=""position: absolute; right: 10px; top: 300px;"" /><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="672" height="240" id="preview" align="middle">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="movie" value="comercial.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><embed src="http://www.digital-outlaw.com/templates/janagya/comercial.swf" quality="high" width="672" height="240" name="preview" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</object></div>
shoot, seems so silly a problem, Im not having any ideas that work.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

not even a blurb from moderators, or support or nuthin!!? c’mon!OK it is something with the template. I switched to an image witha few image maps for buttons, and guess what…the image maps didnt work either, nothing. So i put the image outside the template, and viola – it worked. So my question is again – what the hell is inside this template that prevents image maps and dynamic flash content from showing up while inside the template. fer chrissakes! At the bottom of the page is the flash menu included in 2 seperate fashions, and nuthin. I really regret buying into this club. I though i could save time with these templates, but there just not ready for use as you buy them. fer chrissakes the images alone are like 500k. sorry for the rant, just frustrated and disappointed yet again with this club.

September 28, 2008 at 6:00 pm #272876You should be able to use the login module field, but use a SWF module for joomla.
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,366/Itemid,35/September 29, 2008 at 5:58 pm #273098Ive tried every flash module I could find before I trioed anything else, including the one above. Ive also tried a hack to allow banners to be swf. but no-go. like I said – its allowing the swf – but not the dynamic menu items. It IS loading swf, you can see the background on it. When its OUTSIDE the template – werks like a charm…Im just gonna give up I guess – waited 4 days for that answer. Im a member of quite a few development clubs, and this one leaves me disappointed with its buggy tmeplates, and lack of communication. Im sorry. Soo glad I didnt shell for a dev membership before trying.
