And if exist an official rss support (extension) from Joomlart, for it.

Joomla is capable of outputting RSS feds, that is a built in feature that simply needs to be configured and activated. To do this create a Syndication Module and display it in a hidden module position on the menu items where you wish to display your feed. Rather than detail that here, please use Google as there are many articles and videos available on how to do this.

As for compatibility, the template is OK but you need to make sure your articles comply to the standards laid out by flipboard.
