    hi –
joomla newbie, and trying out one of joomlart’s free templates before diving into joining the template club.
I’m working on implementing a text resizer in ja_mercury (got the resizer implemented and working fine per joomla.org forums).

to facilitate this, I changed all the font size values in template.css from px to em and now the copyright and search button text are too small. all font sizes were changed proportionally (to each other) and even those pieces of text which have the same em value as these 2, are rendered larger (ie, correctly). there’s obviously some sort of inheritance issue, but I can’t find it.

I saw a post about ja templates forcing small font sizes and I’m wondering, I suppose,
how to ‘un-force’ the small font sizes so that they’re in proportion to the rest of the text

    would appreciate some guidance.

    thanks

ok, but be advised i haven’t done a lick of design work on this yet, and am still playing with the site structure, so it’s very much in a pre-alpha state…

    and I should add:
as a quick fix, I did go ahead and just increase the font sizes for the small fonts from .8 or .75em to 1em, and all is currently readable, but I’m sure this will bite me later, so would like to a real fix.

If the quick fix works, stick with it.
