When editing a content item, I see only two styles options listed in the dropdown box, caption and system-pagebreak. Under the original Teline template running under Joomla 1.12 I see a whole host of other font style options such as drop cap, blockquote, highlight etc. Has anybody else noticed this in the Teline II template? Does anybody know how to add or access these font styles which appear to be listed in the typo.css file?

    Hi ralley !
I think that you have choose default editor is “Editor- No editor ” , You must set it agin by way :
    – Login to administrator
    – Go to Site >> global configuration
    – Under site tab and in setting site box you can see Default WYSIWYG Editor select box , please set it to “Editor – Tiny MCE 2.0”

Thanks for the help, but this didn’t solve the problem of not being able to see the typo.css styles in the content editor.

Anybody else have any ideas about what could be wrong here?

Bump. It’s right. Can someone from Joomlart explain better the Typography “thing” for Jooma 1.5. I wonder how to obtain these styles, it’ not clear.

Bump. Help! Are other people seeing all of the font styles in their content editors? Why would I not be able to access these styles?

    Hi ralley !
Fontsize window is display as popupwindow . I think that your broswer don’t permit popup window , so font style don’t display . Please set allow popup.

Really? I wouldn’t have guessed that. In 1.x the font styles were always listed under styles in the editor. How do you trigger the pop-up window (after allowing in preferences)?

    Hello, hainn84…
I don’t understand your post above.
    1. What popup window (fontsize) you’re talking about ? Maybe about the button “edit CSS style”?
    2. The ralley’s question is about the droplist “styles” in WYSIWIG editor.
In general, I don’t understand how to obtain the shown “typography” styles in Joomla 1.5 in the templates without enter the HTML and try to manually code the text. Or I’m wrong ?

Exactly. And I would be willing to do this except if you look carefully at the Teline II typography page it does not spell out how to add the dropcap style to content. For almost every other font style it spells out the html that it needed, but for drop caps it simply shows the sample text, not the html that is necessary to achieve it.

This still doesn’t explain why the typography styles are not listed in the content editor – which at this point I am assuming is a bug – but it would be a work around if someone could let me know what the html is to get drop caps.

About the dropcap style – the class is “dropcap”. In their example in the live demo :

<p><span class=”dropcap”>T</span>his is a Magazine Style Drop Cap. The first letter in this paragraph is big. JA Teline ii bring into your Jooomla template the magazine drop cap technique and CSS2 includes the first-letter pseudo class. In all fairness to the paragraph itself we probably should type enough to see how it looks when it is surrounded by its textual friends by using more words.</p>

    Bump.
I’m attaching a picture (screen capture) to illustrate what we’re talking about in this thread.
There are only two styles in the droplist in Joomla 1.5.
Is this a bug in the template ? And this problem is NOT ONLY in that template for Joomla 1.5.

Can someone from Joomlart explain this problem/question about the Typography ?
    Thanks in advance.

Confirmed, but it seems not to be a JA templates specific issue. It is a Joomla! 1.5 specific issue.

OK, thanks… In fact, Joomla 1.5 (and 1.5.3 too) has unfortunately many many bugs.
For example, you can find any site made with Joomla 1.5 and add the string “?option=com_user” and you’ll see what is displayed… Example : http://www.ijoomla.com/?option=com_user

    Bump.
However, it will be interesting to have the opinion of someone from Joomlart about that issue.
Because they market the Typography features without warning about that problem in Joomla 1.5.
Why only these 2 classes (as in the picture in a previous post) show in the list in Joomla 1.5 ?
Maybe that’s a “legacy” issue. And the problem is that all templates for Joomla 1.5 are concerned.
