Tomorow, 18.01.2013, my subscription expires, and i have same problem. The footer-1; footer-2 not shown the menu module. But if i want to see the theme positions …/?tp=1 the modules are shown.
I have JA Mero Template (4.15 MB) template 12-05-2012 1.0.0 and JA T3v3 System Plugin (2.94 MB) plugin 12-08-2012 1.0.2 with joomla 2.5.8
on localhost….

The footer-1, footer-2 and footer-3 are not shown if is not published enything in footer-4 position (home layout)

You need to upgrade three file

+ Download and extract my attached file
+ Copy it to

<blockquote>templates/ja_mero/tpls/default.php
templates/ja_mero/tpls/home.php
templates/ja_mero/templateDetails.xml</blockquote>
+ Remember to backup old file before doing

Ninja lead has already given the solution to you about your problem, you can try that, at the same time as we are closed on the weekend, I have extended your membership by 5 days, so that if the solution does not work, you can still be in touch and get this sorted.
