Is it normal for the footer to have a gap at the bottom of the browser window?

The shorter the page content, the higher the footer floats up from the bottom in the browser. Testing in Firefox 3.0 and running Joomla 1.5.11. I can of course work with the CSS and edit positioning but I wanted to see if there was already a solution for this before tearing into anything.

Yeah, it’s standard for most if not all JA Templates. For a sticky footer, try this URL, which works a treat:

Thanks. I was just checking to see if it was a known issue before I started editing the CSS. This is the method I usually use: http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/keeping-footers-at-the-bottom-of-the-page

The one you mention looks similar.

Yours uses absolute positioning, the one I linked does it without. A nice workaround either way!
