    Hello,
My site is JA_Smashboard template based.
I have SocialConnect plugin from Joomlaworks and K2…
I want to open a forum for my site, i don’t know which is better regarding integrating issues and regarding the quality of the software.
vBulletin? Kunena ? phpBB ? what is better? i want it to be fully integrated with the user login and activity…

    Thanks a lot !

    Hi s4reea,

In my opinion, I will choose Kunena component for the forum without installing 3rd Joomla integrator, and is now available for both J2.5/3.x . In addition, we have the experiences in customizing this component to be compatible on some JA Templates (JA Nex, JA Mitius …) so that we may assist you to solve any conflicts if exist. You can give this a try and lets us know if you need any help.

I will definitely go with kunena then, my only question arises is why would JA have vbulletin as their main forum 🙂 i know vbulletin is a far more better than the others, but costy too.
    Thanks again

    Hi s4reea,

vBulletin is the forum platform we had chosen before the Kunena component came to existence, and in addition, it is a good platform that we can integrate with our support systems for better connections to our customers. As you can see, the vBulletin forum is just an external link menu item on our main website, not as the Joomla website with installed Kunena component which allows the registered users to use the same login info to access both Joomla administration and Kunena forum.
