    I am having an issue with my forum. I keep getting this fatal error message – 500 Internal server error. I am almost done with the site and this is the last step. Need help? Thanks

    You’ll need to be a bit more specific with your issue.

    What Template and Forum software are you using?

    He asked me for my admin password. The last time he was going to help me I never got a response. I am much more comfortable with you since you have helped me in the past. I mean no dis-respect, but I have had a good experience with you. 🙂

    Would you be able to upgrade your site to Joomla! 1.6.6?

    There were several bugs present in 1.6.5 that resulted in the release of 1.6.6 – those bugs may be interacting here to create these errors.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Can I upgrade to 1.7. Will I loose any of the work that has been done so far on the site when I upgrade?

    you should not lose any work upgrading to 1.7.
    The upgrade only affects the Joomla! core, no extensions.
    However, before upgrading, you will need to confirm that all your extensions are compatible with 1.7
    Most that are ready for 1.6 are also ready for 1.7, but there are some that were affected by the changes in 1.7, and have not updated. So confirm that first, before updating.
    And, as always, take a complete backup before doing anything!

    It doesnt appear that the template JA Social has been updated to 1.7.
