    Dear JoomlArt team,

I like your forum and the Markdown-enabled editor etc.

A few hints to consider enhancements:

    1. the Markdown interpretation of e.g. unordered lists seems to be buggy – mostly within the preview, as opposed to the final post; and sometimes switching back from the preview does send you back to an older version of the edited text, loosing latest changes (oups)
    2. Clicking the Markdown link underneath this editor box opens a modal window with a mini howto. This window does include a link to https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet, which opens in the parent windows, thus overwriting the current form. – Please consider opening the link in a new / blank window instead.
    3. The option Require Help From Staff + Mod/Admin? rises a question for me: Will staff read my forum post if I choose "No"?

The one thing that I really miss with the forum is

    • Keyword search / advanced search within the forums

as only a forum name search box is present. (If people can search other forum discussions for existing solutions, that might lift the weight of support on your shoulders.)

Am I missing the an existing search box? Would you care to implement it when missing?

    Hi there,

any feedback? I know you must be busy (as we all are) but a short feedback would be nice.

Please allow me to a one more suggestion: Since a few days you ask for and require the client to name a domain that the forum post / issue applies to and this domain is later displayed publicly with the ticket (even members only is sort of public).

I do not think this is a good idea. If this issue applies to a test installation (which would be applicable for most professional site, to check for issues before applying changes to a live site), the site might not be publicly available (localhost or access restricted). And if it is an issue on a live site, the site owner usually does not want to draw unnecessary attention to it.

Please consider to set this field back to non-required.

    Best regards, Sailor

You will receive help from the staff even if you choose "no". However we recommend users to use this option to submit site URL / admin login (these info are only visible to the staff) , it will make the support process easier.

    * Keyword search / advanced search within the forums as only a forum name search box is present. We do have a search option for the forum, you can click the search icon right next to the green PRICING button at the top corner of the site to start searching. You can choose to search the whole forums or just one sub-forum.

Regarding your issue with markdown-enabled editor and domain name being displayed publicly, I’ll pass your comment over to the team for further considerations.
