Hi! basskool which browser do you use? I got a problem with Opera. I’ve tryed diferent releases but the childcontent is shown unproperly (for a second and not link clickable) or is not shown at all. I tryed to replace all template files with original ones but got exactly the same result. But the demo works just fine, thats strange.
By the way when you open childcontent of demo site in Opera browser the Video remains where it was after you get to another menu item
    (See the screenshots).
It’s all ok with anower browsers but I think the template has huge competability problems.
I think I should wait for another release of this nice template.
The problem with z-index of flash objects still remains I could do nothing…
    Thanx for your attention.
P.S. All of the above problems are solved when the opera browser is updated to the latest V. 10.01. But the template must work with the earlier versions (IMHO)

In your first images, in the past I felt I had same error, but it is a setting in childcontent to float to the right.
So for that you will find a right=1, meaning float to the right.

Now for the second image, if you are using old quickstart, it’s not good because there were some issues there, so please try to use latest Purity II template in your quickstart and check again. If again same problem, than you must be using php <5.2.x I think. I tried my guess, you try it, and tell me if it helps.

    ——————————————————————————–

This happens *only* with IE7 and IE8.

    I have Purity II 1.1.

    The problem:

I have a category list view of 11 items. I reduce the view to 5 items. The pagination bar appears. As soon as I *mouse over* the pagination bar, I lose my left side and right side menus. It looks like the menus disappear from the sides and move down to the bottom.

I’ve tried everything — editing the CSS, hunting down “disappearing DIV” posts in Google. But I can’t seem to fix this issue. Essentially, this prevents me from listing a specific number of categories in the view.

I’ve tried adjust the various widths — widesceen, auto, specific pixel, etc. Still see the error.

I can remove the pagination bar — and it’s fine. No issues.

I can say “list all” in the category view, and so long as the pagination bar doesn’t show up, I see all the categories and there are no problems with the menus.

If I switch back to Purity I template (default in core) everything is fine — even *with* the pagination bar.

If I switch to another template altogether, YooTheme, RocketTheme then everything is fine — even *with* the pagination bar.

This only happens in Purity II when used with IE7 and IE8.

I can duplicate the error on any IE7 and IE8 browser (I use BrowserCam’s remoting service to test various browsers).

No issues with Firefox, Chrome, or Safari.

    Help!

Well, as soon as I post the error, I discovered the solution. I’ve verified this on three differen IE8 installations.

The culprit is IE’s ‘compatibility view.’

If I view my Purity II 1.1 website with compatibility view turned ON, I see the disappearing menus.

If I turn off compatibility — remove all the websites from the box and uncheck all the boxes in IE8’s compatibility view options — the site works fine. Menus stay in place and the pagination works as expected.

Again — no problems with FF, Chrome, or Safari.

But hopefully this can be caught in the next release of Purity II.

I added this line to the template’s head to force it run *WITHOUT* compatibility mode:

    <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=8″ />

Seems fine. I no longer see the compatibility button near the address bar in IE8 when I refresh.

    Thank you.</blockquote>
To solve this isue I opened a PHP file of the plugin in plugins folder. And did the following changes:
    1. Find the flash object it looks like:

    object type="application/x-shockwave-flash"

    2. Must be changed to:

    object wmode="opaque" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"

Thats it. Adding wmode=”opaque” works for any flash object if you have one. Advertisment banner for example. And here is the result on my site

    Good luck!

Maybe you should unpack and see what is inside. I haven’t checked lately, but I guess the new download pack includes a new quickstart with/and the new template separately.

We have experienced some malicious reposts from Google on a few of the templates we downloaded and installed. One of the, can be veiwed here Dallas Web Design. We have several more up. We do not think the templates have malicious stuff in them we think that it may be the tracking code that is used to determine it is being used on only one ip or domain. The other ones can be viewed here Business Web Design Web Design Company

With Ja purity II stable release, using IE7 or IE8 (in compatibility view) the left column of a 3 column layout slides down out of place. Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi,
I’m not sure is this a bug or not but it probably is.
    This is the case:
While using JA purity II and in the front page when there are more tthan on article, the right side margins of the top articles gets cut(see bellow):

    6321

And this is the home page menu item parameters when this happens:

    6323

This is when only one article is in the front page, you can see a normal layout:

    6324

And this is the home page menu item parameters for the normal layout:

    6325

    This is the site:

    http://www.radiology2.com

    Any suggestions.
    Thank You.

Also can you please tell us if you changed anything in template’s code?

    Dear drmaalghamdi,

I would move your question and related replies to a new thread once you have replied. That will make it easy to follow your problem.
