I’ve been working with this component locally, and it works perfectly fine, so we want to deploy it to the online version of our site – but we can’t figure out how, because some problems occur.

We’re using git for this, and our page is hosted on amazon, so the normal procedure would be to commit and push the changes, which we did, then in joomla under the extension manager we would click discover to find the component and plugins and then set them up at our online joomla version. The only problem is, that when we do this, all the files are where they should be in the different folders, so they are uploaded, but we can only find the two plugins “Button – JA Amazon S3” and “System – JA Amazon S3”, and no component. The component doesn’t appear in the components-menu neither.

After pushing it to the git-repository, the local version and the online version should be exactly the same, which they in theory are and the file-structure is the same too – but the component only appears and works in the local version, not online.

We could try to install it directly online, but then we will have a problem, because we need the files to be at our git-repository as well, so that won’t work.

Do you have any suggestions on what’s wrong? Is there something about the installation? Do you have a solution for this problem? We’ve been trying to find one, cause we really need this plugin, so we would appreciate your help, thank you!

    Hi,

Please check back the process to upload file to git to know if there’s some steps you might miss, especial step Discover, as I know, this function doesn’t work with extension that already installed on your site , and also the database, as you can’t see JA S3 Amazon on component menu.

We can’t check your git-reposity so it’s hard to know what causes this problem.
