    Hello!

I have a big problem and it seems to me other users have encountered it. I buil my site perfectly on localhost, WampServer and is the time to upload it on the server. I copy all the files by ftp. After the site is installed I import in it’s database the database that I need, the one from Wamp server. I can hardly wait to get my new site online…and what I get? Problems with image resize function. One images of 9 is there, section and category blog view has no pictures, full articles have. Hot topic menu…no resized pictures…etc, I saw different topics here.

What to do: I go to the resized folder, CHMOD 7777…nothing. Manually copy resized folder…nothing…I do not get any error such as..makdir…bla bla, you know it, just the missing picture space. If I look in the cpanel error log.it says missing files and paths..

    Where do I get wrong?

Did you try using Joomla backup extension ? It allows you to makea full backup and all you then need to do is to copy the backup to the host and then install it …the installation is like Quickstart and then you should have your whole site again with images etc intact.

Has anyone any comments on this approach to take ie developing on localhost and then transferring to a live site with everything intact ?

as mentioned in my other post that it has to do with the File CASE name… on a local server Windows it does not matter whether the file is UPPERCASE or LOWERCASE as the file is the same regardless.

In LINUX the UPPER and LOWER CASE in the filename are considered different files.

when JA TELINE II reads the it changes the IMAGE file to all lowercase and tries to resize it but it does not exist since it changed the filename..

did not have this issue until the last update..
