First of all excuse fro my English I have just buyed a ja teline iv template. I would like to use it in my web site http://www.portogruaro.veneto.it. My question is: can I install in local the quickstart versione of teline IV and, using akeeba back up, can I put inside teline iv my articles, categories, and so on from my website? I work in local in order to avoid problems…
I have restored my website by akeeba in local, but great part of the teline iv quickstart is “disappeared”. any suggestion?
    thanks

    Hi,

If you have a website ready and you want to use the JA Teline IV template, then you do not need to use the quickstart package, since you will need to install sample data and then remove the sample data and add your data in it. Instead you can just install the template and all the extensions that you can download with the template and set them up as explained at http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/new-userguide-ja-teline-iv-for-joomla-1-5/ to show them as shown in the demo.

    Hi Himangi,
thanks for your answer, but I have thought this solution (according to me it is easier),
I go inside my phpadministrator and here I find my database.
    I search these “schedules”: jos_articles, jos_categories and jos_sections.
I export all of them and import them inside the database that contains, in my computer, the quickstart version of Ja Teline iv.
IN this way I should be able to add or reaplce the articles, categories and sections with my own.
In my computer I use xampp and I have created a database with the same username, password and name db that I have on the server of my provider. Could it work or Am I dreaming an impossible solution?

    Hi,

What you said should work fine for the articles, categories etc. but you want to have all your current modules and other extensions as well it will nort be an easy job since you will also have some extensions entries in the tables from quickstart.. So I would recommend installing the template and extensions with it on your current site.. That would be clean, easy and will definitely take lesser time than the other way..
