My frontend editing is not working. Please help!!

Hello mscimo,

It would help a lot if you gave some information instead of just stating that something do not work.

What doesn‘t work? Which Joomla! version do you use, 1.5.x or 1.6.x? Did you use the quickstart install or just the template? What happens when you use another template (like beez, milkyway or purity)?

Are you using K2? Have you in that case enabled frontend editing in backend (K2 Categories >> Parameters >> Front end editing)?

And best of all, what is your url, provided your site is live?

Hi Steinar,

You are right, I should have explained the problem more in depth. thank you!

I am using JCE as the editor and works fine in the back end, however, when I try using it on the front end it does not work. When I click on edit in the front end the editing buttons do not show and the button does not work, meaning it stays on code and does not switch.

I am using Joomla! version 1.5 and used JA_Methys quickstart package to install.

When I switch it to another template like beez, it works fine.

I am using K2, front end editing IS enabled.

My site is not live yet

I think JCE comes with front end editing turned off by default in JCE Group Manager. Could that be it? Low probability, I know.
