    Hi all –

I’ve got Uvite installed on Joomla 1.5.9. I’ve been editing all the content through the back-end with no problem.

My primary user just logged in through the front-end to start editing his content.

Once they hit SAVE in the front-end TinyMCE editor, the content seems to be stripped of all markup and is saved as one long unformatted text string (no line breaks, either).

Any idea why this is happening?

I have TinyMCE configured in the Joomla plugin backend to NOT do any code cleanup, so I can’t figure out why it’s stripping the formatting.

This is a pretty urgent item for me, since I just went live for the client and had totally missed this bug in the front-end.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Install a different editor such as JCE.

That did not fix the problem.

I installed JCE and it does the exact same thing. It strips out all the HTML when I save the page.

    Please help!

    Thanks,

    RESOLVED —

This is a Joomla 1.5 issue. If you haven’t properly set you whitelist in the article manager —> parameters, you will find your non-Super Admin users find their markup stripped when they save content.

This is very embarrassing when you hand a site off to a client and their content is one big mess.

I changed the white list to include registered through editor. Then I assigned my client as a publisher.

    This fixed it.

Here is a post on the topic:

How come I can’t “THANK YOU” to myself. I have now solved 2/2 of my posts. I deserve some thanks too 🙂
