    Recently updated to 1.3.2 of the template and when I did a format issue was created on the front page that is affecting the display of the SlideShow.

    If I attempt to add a module block at any position below the SlideShow block, a 10px gap is created as indicated in the screenshot below:

    I get the same results from positions: middle.right1, middle.right2, middle.right-mass-top

    Thanks,

    -Kevin

    Hi Mike:

    If you provide the url to the site you’re working on, I can take a look for you.

    Also, please set “Optimize CSS” to “No” within your Template Manager — General Settings.

    There is no difference with the CSS optimization set to no.

    Thanks for the help…!

    I saw your site.i think now you solved it 🙂

    Nope… Still a problem but I’ve taken a closer look and it appears to be an issue with IE only. I have confirmed that both IE7 through IE9 have the same issue.

    Hi there,

    did you notice that the whole site is 10px wider in IE than in all other browsers? That’s why your slideshow has this gap. Don’t ask me why but the site’s width is not within you template.css as it seems. Could you please check if you have something like this in your template.css

    body.bd .main {
    width: 970px;
    }
    body.bd #ja-wrapper {
    min-width: 970px;
    }

    If not, add it and you should be good.

    Cheers

    Yes I did notice the added 10px… I just didn’t know where they were coming from…! I just took a look at the default template.css for the latest quickstart and this block of CSS doesn’t exist.

    I have added it and the issue is corrected… Thanks a million Frank!

    Did I mention that I hate cross-browser-development? And the IE too of course 😉
    It’s not unlikely that the css code is not inside your template.css. You can always check the default theme in the plugin for strings that you need. Firebug should tell you what values are in the template.css from the plugin since both template.css files are loaded. IE has a developer toolbar too (hit F12) but it’s a pain 😀

    Glad I could help!

    Cheers

    I’m just razzin’ ya . . . It’s not a race or contest – the result is what’s important.
