November 27, 2008 at 7:24 am #135747Hi,
I downloaded this template because the front page article layout is different from the others.
I like the articles to be in rows rather than being like pyramid layout.
How do I duplicate how the demo shows?
Appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance!!!

November 27, 2008 at 7:34 am #280460Hi sushismb,
I am assuming that you would like your site to look exactly like the demo?
Just install the quickstart and remember to click “Install Sample Data” during Step 4.
You may wish to refer to the userguide http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-mageia-userguide-2/

November 27, 2008 at 7:45 am #280461Hi, thanks for your reply.
Quickstart from what I know is a compilation of Joomla and template isn’t it? And yes, I did install the sample data during the installation process.
Well, I already installed Joomla and installed this template.
What I want to do now to to duplicate the “front page article layout” In the original Joomla template, the front page articles are listed like a pyramid. Meaning, the width of the 1st (top) article is 100% but the 2nd and the 3rd articles on the second row is 50% each.
But this template shows the artcles in rows. Which means, the width of the articles are 100% and therefore, the following articles are on the next rows.
I hope my explanation is clear.
Thanks!

November 27, 2008 at 9:18 am #280479firstly, the front page only has 2 articles. therefore, it only shows 2 items and thus not in the layout. i believe they should be in the correct layout you want if you added more articles to the Frontpage.
to change the layout, go to
Menus -> Main Menu
Click on Home
at the right side, make sure Leading # = 1 and Column # =2
as for intro #, it will depends on how many you want to showjust test around with the intro# to make your page look good.
