Hi.
I want to just have the front page as a normal front page. I worked out the width part but I need to get rid of the duplicate sized images that are always justified left.
Any ideas?
TIA

April 1, 2009 at 5:43 am #299391ok I think …not sure without link what you mean. But I think you mean you got few articles assign to front page. Go to articles and see with this template you have few articles assign to front page. Assign only one .. and you should be ok. you see your front page ( home page menu ) is assign with this template ( I assume you installed quick install ) to blog. Smart way. If you need just one article.. change menu to article layout and you will have only one article there.
April 2, 2009 at 2:09 am #299565Ok..maybe I didn’t explain myself correctly so here goes again.
This template has an over ride that dictates that the frontpage images are set to a specifit width and justified left. Once you click on the ‘Read More’ you see the article the way the user formatted it.
I want to be able to show the articles on the front page with the image size I set and with the image justification that I set when writing the article.
Any ideas?
Mark

di38,
I am not sure if that is what Mark wanted. I think it is the same thing that another guy wanted to do, but we have communication difficulties.
Resize image in article view
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/resize-image-in-article-view/What is your native tongue? Maybe you can communicate with him better, in case you might happen to share the same primary language. He seems like very new based from his number of posts and registration date.
I have been there myself and I also have difficulty expressing myself more concisely, since English is not my native tongue. So, I try to help when I can, especially those who are just starting. — the major goal of the tutorials I alluded to in another thread.

I have a feeling (s)he might be Asian, like myself. So, are you able to also translate English to any of those languages?
There was a French member who could barely express himself in English, so we did not understand each other. What we did in some early tutorials, specifically for him, I write something in English, Chris, who is English but lived in France before he moved to Bulgaria, translated my rough sketch of the procedure, added images captured from the admin or front end pages, to make them more clear, and then created tutorials in both English and French.
Ana was fascinated with it and did translations from English to Spanish of the entire manual,
and it helped a lot of Spanish members. Unfortunately, Ana got frustrated here. I think she did not renew her membership.Cornelio
