September 13, 2010 at 3:19 am #154265I have tried rename front page title as usual using Menu and change in system. It grab it correctly in browser but still show Welcome to the front page. Any idea where I can change it. As soon as I change from Front Page Blog Layout to any other type…….it works………but I really like that front page layout. Any clue would be greatly appreciated

September 13, 2010 at 4:04 am #355320You have to go to the menu and remove the “Welcome to the Frontpage” text.
>Menu-> Main Menu-> Home-> Parameters (System)-> Page Title

September 13, 2010 at 5:55 am #355333Hello Pascm and thank you for your replay – but that part is what I call standard behaviour. This template does not behave this way. That is what I am usually doing – I think i indicated that in my question – and it does not work for me It pick up as title at the browser but not in front page….image attached

September 13, 2010 at 6:15 am #355337joomla geek ..I said I have tried that when I asked question. it does not work! So I went to custom default.php in html folder com.content and front page and changed from there. But it shouldn’t be done this way. It should be done exactly as you describing. I don’t know I have newest version and it does not allow me to change title using joomla – specially for front page blog categories. For other options works as it suppose to work.

September 13, 2010 at 6:22 am #355339I did and then does not show title at all… . so as I said I fixed issue with direct coding to module in template …but it is a fault somewhere in the template then. I got newest version. thank you for taking time….I placed direct title then to default.php in com_content/frontpage/ but that shouldn’t be done like this. That is why I was asking.

September 13, 2010 at 6:31 am #355342Parakalo! (Welcome)
September 16, 2010 at 1:30 pm #355705di38 is right. Changing the title in the system menu parameters makes no difference – even in the latest version. Change the frontpage default.php as a temporary fix.
