May 26, 2008 at 2:13 am #128908For some reason when I add any new articles or even copy the ones in the demo they do appear in the front page blog format correctly, but when you click the ‘read more” link it open the article within the home page and doesnt load the article to a new page.
As an example, see this link and try the first article read more and notice it loads in the same page. Then notice the second article read more and it loads to a new page. How do I get my new artilces to load to a new page like the ones in the demo?
Its driving me nuts!

May 26, 2008 at 2:43 am #250527I’m not sure I quite follow you. It looks like the only difference is when you click on the first readmore the page it takes you to has more modules published than the second readmore link which gives a difference in appearance.
Let me know more details and I’ll do my best to assist.Cheers

May 26, 2008 at 2:48 am #250528Thanks again for coming to my rescue Kallan!
I haven’t published any modules to any of these articles, this is a default install and I added one article and made it frontpage. Then when you click read more it opens in the same page_or with all of the modules- which are only tasked to default pages.
On the demo articles they open to a new page.
I even copied one of the demo articles and it does the same thing.I’d be happy to pm a login if you dont believe me. 😉

May 26, 2008 at 3:00 am #250531Try adding a new frontpage article and see how it does the same.

May 26, 2008 at 3:32 am #250539OMG, I didnt see the DEMO selected with the modules…:o
Im sorry, I should have seen that, it was my first thought. But didnt see it.Ok.
Let me ask your advice on one more thing, that im stuck with. I swear Im not trying to hog your time, but I could reaaaally use the help and many others could as well, If you have any ideas?I have been desperately trying to integrate Fireboard Forum with corona but it causes many adverse issues. Initially it removes the top menu. I tried this fix-

I have posted a few days ago on their forum and got a half answer but doesnt seem to work, not sure if he forgot something but I cant get the rest of the answer. There are many many people hoping for a solution to this issue. I will gladly thank you again and again if I can get this resolved, its very important to have the forum work. And it only doesnt work with this template, of course the one Im trying to use….my luck.

May 26, 2008 at 4:06 am #250542Ok can you put your index file back to how it was – The latest version of the forum outputs the js script anyhow and just do Menaltos change.
also can you make the fireboard template the default one again.
Thanks

May 26, 2008 at 4:22 am #250543ok, I have replaced the index.php back to the original and implemented minaltos fix.
This fixes the menu in the numino template but the footer and module is messed up like before.Changing the template to the default is now correcting everything- footer & modules, but now the menu is gone.

May 26, 2008 at 4:24 am #250544Looks all good from here!!! Menu is fine too (i’m in firefox)
Which means that the template you have chosen for fireboard is breaking the page 😀
Where is this template from?

May 26, 2008 at 4:31 am #250545Hey it is working, needed to start a new page with fresh cache, never would’ve thought it was the template…
I got the template from fireboard- hereWonder what is causing it to break?
Not too important since Im just glad to have the stupid forum working after two days of messing with it.
Im glad to know that its the template and have resolved down to that point. never thought of restoring the default template. Thank you very much.I’ll play around with the template and see if I can figure out what it is..unfortunately its their best template.
Maybe I’ll get lucky. You’re so smart!
Thanks again Kallan- many thanks for you! -
