March 12, 2012 at 8:30 pm #174918Hi Guys I am having an awful problem.
I have been setting up a website and now I am finding that the site does not load most of the articles on the frontpage, instead it just reloads the front page. What might be causing this.
Thank you in advance

March 12, 2012 at 9:41 pm #443283I am guessing that you has sh404sef installed but have removed it? If so you probably have a dodgy .htaccess file. Please delete this and restore the standard Joomla .htaccess file.

i installed it to try and resolve the issue. However it didn’t work.
the issue started happening ouch I turned the cache off and the developer mode on.
I will install new file as suggested and see what that does

March 12, 2012 at 10:06 pm #443286Looking again and the links that fail are all part og the Gavik News Pro modules that you have installed. Maybet they would be better placed to tell you why the links from their module do not work as expected.

March 12, 2012 at 10:16 pm #443287I also notice that you are using JA Teline iV version 1.2.0. This version is not compatible with Joomla 2.5.2 and you should update this to the latest release of JA Teline IV version 2.5.0

March 12, 2012 at 11:36 pm #443291I am also using JA slideshow (the link doesnt work on that) and one of the gk news pro modules does work.
I think it has more to do with the system than anything else.
There is alot of custom code in my template, I really dont want to lose that when upgrading…Phill ModeratorPhill

March 12, 2012 at 11:50 pm #443292There is not a lot of choice really. A lof of the code in the version you have simply does not work with J2.5. If you use the JA Extension manager to update your code should remain in tact but it ia always advisable to take a backup first. Akeeba backup is ideal for this.
