The top frontpage article shows the READ MORE link but the 2 below do not.

I have checked the code and all OK.

When I create a new article and include READ MORE and this goes to the top position then the READ MORE is visible. The article that was in the top posittion (and had READ MORE visible) now moves to position 2 and read more is no longer visible.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    It’s not publicly accessible.

I saw another thread about the same problem and others had the same issue. Unfortunately the original poster did not post the solution.

It is very hard to understand your individual issue without seeing it. Advice can only be generic I am afraid.

The template has been updated though that is not clear from the downloads section at present. Please try that. Also check your articles and custom modules have ho exraneous html in them. Problems such as this often occur if a modul or article has had text pasted into it from another application such as word.

Hello I’m sorry to butt in but I need to get this little problem fixed on my website.

    http://www.spiritconnexions.com/main

You can see the front page articles there. Only the top one shows the read more.

Is there a way of seeing why this is happening?

I have downloaded the JA Rasite files again and extracted the frontpage html files from the com_content folder. I uploaded them but still this porblem. Unless those were the wrong files that may or may not be causing the niggle.

    Thank you;)

I have now traced this issue to some sort of conflict with JComment. I notice that you also have JComment installed on your site Gail.

I do not know what the conflict is yet.

All other JA site templates are fine with JComment so it is something on JA Rasite. (?)

Thank you for sharing that with me/us. I have uninstalled Jcomment and all is now well.

If the conflict gets fixed I will install Jcomments again. I can live without it.

The commenting component over at compojoom.com works fine. It is only a release candidate but seems very stable.

    hi
i also had the same problem. I found that read more is conflicting with Jcomments component(3rd pary component which i installed). When i uninstall it, it started working.

    hi
I cannot give link to site publically. But for now i have resolved it by un-installing Jcomments components. But i wonder why JA Rasite Template is not working with Jcomments, since Jcomments is a very stable one.Anyway Thanks…
