How do you remove the date column from the frontpage articles?

I’ve set the article parameters and the frontpage (HOME menu) parameters to not show the date. But the spacing / padding for that column is still there.

.contentpaneopen_fp {
padding-left:70px;
position:relative;
}

change to

}
