I am using template JA Xenia.
Some links on frontpage, like those in lastest new and popular section, are open to the content page, but others are open in front page.
In live demo of Xenia, the first two items of Lastest news are open to their content page, but the rest three links are open in front page.
What is the difference ? How can I make all links on front page are opened to their content page ?
I am sure I miss some setting, but I can’t find it. Can anyone help me ? Thanks.

February 10, 2007 at 10:01 am #214392In live demo, those links link to articles in newsflash section which does not refer to any page item. Joomla 1.0.12 automatically understand that is home. You should create menu items link to your content sections.

But even I create menu item link to the content item, when I click the link of that content item in front page, that content item still show at front page, not its content page.
You may check our site http://www.eware.com.hk/cms
When you click the ‘profile’ item at ‘Popular’, it does not open the profile content page. Instead, it shows the content at front page. But if you click the profile from main menu, it open the content page properly.
Can you tell you what is the problem ? Thanks very much.

February 11, 2007 at 11:32 am #214426It is not a template problem, should be a joomla 1.0.12 problem. You could read this thread:

Just wonder why some links can be opened to content page properly if it is a joomla problem.March 2, 2007 at 12:27 pm #215165@eware 7941 wrote:
thanks khanh, I will try it out.

I was getting the problem where all the guff on the front page was loading into the latest news items etc pages which opened up. All I wanted was the news on the page and to remove the rolling headline etcetc… I noted it was referring to itemid=1 in the links, so I removed them from the php file. If you want to test the one I’ve attached to see if it answers your problems…
