Thanks in advance for your help. Its a ticky little glitch.
The system does not seem to recognize new content items that I create to show on the front page. I have the front page of this set up as it came in quick launch: It displays those four boxes each representing 1 category and displaying 1 article and up to 3 links if enough articles exist.
I have renamed the categories and inserted my own content in the boxes. The problem is that when I create new articles and publish them in the same categories, they don’t appear on the front page!!!! I wouldn’t be upset, but this problem also stops several extensions form properly detecting articles in categories (Extended Menu and Display News).
What’s interesting is that if I pull the original bogus content items out of the Trash and rename them, they show up fine. I’ve attached a screenshot showing my backend where the articles are listed that should be appearing. I run Joomla 1.5.3.

Thanks so much!!

June 15, 2008 at 7:11 am #253622HAve you tried to press on the red square as seen on the image below to show frontpage items?
June 15, 2008 at 2:39 pm #253693Hi Menalto,
I tried those buttons, but it’s for the ja news module, not frontpage component that’s used on the front page of this template. I got it to work somehow a few days ago, but I didn’t really change anything so I never found out what was causing the glitch. Perhaps there was some sort of server issue or cacheing or somehting. Very strange.
Thanks for your reply,
Dave
