Hi i have installed social on an existing site, but the thumbnail images on the homepage aren’t resizing. Is it possible to resizse the pictures on the frontpage for “older” articles or does this only work for new articles?

    Thanks for your help

Please kindly configure for the thumbnail plugin similar as my snapshot! and the image is not linked image which from other site, the resizing image only work with image putting in the same directory with the website project

Thank you for your response – unfortunately this is still not working – the images are stored in the usual stories directory – should I be storing them somewhere else?

Please ensure that you have added values in accordance with articles set for parameters of specific menu item

Like, You wish to have #leading images to be affected, Enter in some value in leading images and vice-versa

Also, Please clear your browser cache after making changes

It is default image directory set in joomla so it should be fine. Also, You can check if you have set images folder set to chmod 777

Hi – I have checked all the settings, cleared the cache and chmod to 777. Still not working, have included an image of my settings just in case I’m doing something wrong.

I had the same problem 🙂

I did found a solution for my template : You’ll have to edit the settings of your Frontpage (Menu Item – Frontpage link)
Be sure you have no Main article, but only “intros”. If you have a leading article, the plugin doesn’t work.

    # Main 0
    # Intro 3
    # Columns 1
    # links 0

Yes I had same problem couple of days ago and allexiel is right it should solve your problem with images I used settings Leading 0 too Main point is to not use leading article.

I just followed your advice and it’s correct – but surely if the leading article needs to be disabled then the plugin isn’t working as designed. It’s supposed to resize leading article images on the Front page as-well!

Have you checked the permissions on your resized images folders? I’d expect your apache owner to be able to read/write to them?

    Hi russh,

The folder permissions is already 777. Cache cleaned.
    Any other idea?
