Hi again.
I really have a hard time figuring how the frontpage works…
in the template.css file, i could change many aspects of it, but i can’t find the way to change the way the images show up.It has to be a square proportion (like 100×100) and can only show on the left side of the intro text ?
If not, the image shows over the title and text…Please drop some line about the frontpage, it is really NOT obvious to understand and it should be explained in the userguide.
Thank youRichard

February 2, 2009 at 5:13 am #289161go to your menus > main menu > Home
Parameters (System) > Page Class Suffix > type : _fp
February 2, 2009 at 5:33 am #289164thank you for your answer
i already know about the _fp class suffix, that was not my question actually.
With the _fp on, the image of the intro image must be rezised or it bugs badly.
I have to adjust the image size to a very tiny thumbnail (100×100 or 90×90) then adjust the margin of the text as well in the css file.My question is mainly : how to deal with the pictures on the frontpage in _fp mode?
Where are the settings in the css file ? (i found the text but not the pictures)sunrise Friendsunrise

February 2, 2009 at 6:40 am #289167Hi,
I found this reather old thread that may have some answers to your question. I hope so.

There I wrote:
Hi there,
I am not sure you found out what to do or not, but anyway, I hope this helps, as at first I didn’t know where to find out where or how to change the configuration for some of these settings.
Go to the admin section, to Content/Article Manager. Then click on Pramaters. Here you set the Global Config, (You can set other selected settings on each seperate article if you wish) The setting that would change what you are talking about is: Show/Hide intro text. If you use Hide intro text, what is writen before the “read more” will not show up in the article. If you use Show intro text, it will.
I often use Hide intro text. then I add the whole text again. Why? that way, in the first part that shows on the home page, I can use a smaller picture for faster loading, and bigger picture, once people click read more. Otherwise, with Show intro text, the same picture you have on the front page would also be used later.
In other words you can put the pictures you want on the pront page any siize you want, and have them bigger in the main articles. Also inthe parameters, you can choose if the pictures should be left of right.
Hoe this is a help.

unfortunately it doesn’t help…I understand that i can just use a smaller picture on the _fp, it won’t show on the article opened.
but as you know if this articleis listed a category or section (blog layout) , i will have the one on the front page showing with a small picture in the intro and the one not on the FP with a normal picture…a real visual mess!Means we can’t use the articles listed on the frontpage on a category or section blog layout as well…

February 25, 2009 at 9:07 am #293341Hello, I have almost the same question. I’d like to have “category blog lyout” in the same way/ view as the front page (small images, date). I use _fp parameter in menu of this category but appearance is not the same like on front page.
Could you help me please solve this question.
Thank you
