May 25, 2007 at 8:47 am #220807Go to adminpanel in Joomla. Menu>Main Menu. Press New at top right.
Press Component.Name: Forum
Component: fireboard. Press one time on left mousebutton to mark it, and then press Save.To get the forum on the whole page you need to go to Module>Site Module and press on a module name that is published On next page you can change setting on the module and where it should show up. Ctrl+click on each menu item you would like the module to show up. But not on the forum link. This you need to do with each module that is published.

And if you want to open the forum in a new window, you have to add it to the menu with this option: Link – Component Item. Then you will have the choice to open the forum in the same window or in a new window, with or withour Browser Navigation.

Hi mate check the display is set to see 50 items I got caught out once as i had it set to 10 and had 15 modules so the extra 5 didn’t show in the panel? Could this be your problem?

May 25, 2007 at 12:39 pm #220818Hi Andronopoulos,
Go to the backend of your website and go to Modules – Site Modules. Click the first published module and you will enter this screen:
513
Under Pages / Items: (see picture) you have to activate all menu items except the menu-item for the forum. After this save. Do this for all the modules you have published.
Kind Regards,
Peter.

August 20, 2007 at 11:47 am #227608I’ve followed the instructions, and i’ve turned off all items on the left of the forums… but i’m still getting the gap there as if there is a menu still turned on.. (but not showing)
Anyone got any ideas?
March 5, 2008 at 12:28 pm #241340I am having similar problems…I have loaded Fireboard, created a menu link but do not undestand the below instructions. When I go to site modules I see a listing of module names and their details such as whether they are published, Access, Position…etc. My first published module is Main Menu. Which module should I click on? Sorry for being such a thickee…would really appreciate some assistance with this.
cheers
Andrew

April 17, 2008 at 2:26 pm #245786Could this be about Joomla 1.0 and not about Joomla 1.5?
Like Andronopoulos, I do not have the module related to Fireboard. I installed the component and it appears as an entry in my component menu. However, I really would like to open my fireboard in a separated window, without any of the template I used before. Just a new blank window, using te forum-template.
Does anyone know?
