Hi,
I am working with the fantastic JA Purity II template for our new website.
We would like to have a full screen image as thefull background or the content area β Is this possible?
Web address is: bluekights-england12.co.uk.
Your help is much appreciated,

I’m not JA staff or a moderator / support – just a community member so will understand if you ignore this! π
Can I suggest first that you install a product called Akeeba so that you can make a backup of the site in case. And I would recommend that before you change any css file you take a copy to your desktop before you change it.
Disclaimer over π – You can do both if you want to! If you would like me to point you to the css then please can you go to template manager / purity ii / and in Global set optimise css to no.

Hi Dan,
FYI Bestens means All the best/Regards π
What exactly would you like to achieve? A full background? Will be a colour or an image? If an image should it be static i.e. the site scrolls but the background stays still? Or just one of the containers with the text and leave the rest white?
If you describe what you want a little more indepth it will mean I don’t point you in the wrong direction.
Regards

If you look at the homepage now it is text with an image added to the page as an image.
We would like to be able to skin articles / content areas.
Is this possible?
Thanks,

March 5, 2012 at 11:07 am #441903All is possible. Which parts exactly do you want to change? If you could post an image showing which areas you want to apply images to then I am sure we can advise.
March 5, 2012 at 11:20 am #441907Hi Phill,
We use ‘Catagory Blog Layout’ to show the articles.
In an ideal world we would like to add an image to skin some articles. For example above could be an article and we would like to add the image as the background,
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks,
Dan

March 5, 2012 at 11:23 am #441908If you want different images as backgrounds to different articles then you should do that in the article manager.
March 5, 2012 at 11:26 am #441909Sorry if itβs a dumb question or out of your scope of help but how?
Also if we want a site wide background image how is this archived?

March 5, 2012 at 11:42 am #441911What do you mean site wide? Do you mean accross the whole background of the page? The link to your site is currently not working for me. If you can check the link and upload your image to templates>ja_purite_ii>images and tell us the filename then we can advise on what css you need to change to achieve that. Please first go into the template manager and set css optimization to “No”

March 9, 2012 at 12:02 am #442710Hi,
i added#ja-wrapper {
background: url(../images/image.jpg) repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
}
to the template.css. Then i disabled or set to transparent all the background stylings from the elements that masked the background.Dont know if this is a good solution, still testing, but so far so good.
Hope this helps.
