I want to create a drop-down menu that brings up the gallery module.

How do I do this?

Hi,

You mean that you want to put gallery module in the dropdown of megamenu, right? Kindly follow the documentation of how to set up for megamenu: http://www.t3-framework.org/documentation/menu-system.html#megamenu-config

I have the menu set up. see http://www.al-ikhlaas.org.uk

I want to bring up the gallery from ‘More/Gallery’ drop down. I do not know how to do that.

I think that I misunderstood your request in the first place.

To create that Gallery page:

• You will need to create Gallery content type: https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-teline-v/content-types#gallery-type

• Then follow this guideline to set up this page: https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-teline-v/gallery-layout

I have got most of that working. However, at the moment, the menu is not being displayed, or the site logo on top right. How do i get the gallery to appear in the middle so that the menu is still visible.

Do you mean that you want to show the main menu as other pages?

You will need to customize the ‘Gallery’ layout (which is being assigned to gallery page) a bit:

• Go to file: root/templates/ja_teline_v/tpls/gallery.php
• Add the ‘mainnav’ block:

  <?php $this->loadBlock('mainnav') ?>

Make sure that in the template style of this Gallery page, in Navigation tab, you need to select the correct menu to show.
