February 1, 2009 at 4:54 pm #289111Hi there id31,
I don’t know if I have the full solution here as I have hot looked at the module so closely, but I think that one thing you could do was to make the thumbnails slighly bigger and that would fill in the space more. But I don’t know if that would fit the rest of your site or not.
February 1, 2009 at 6:25 pm #289121Ok, if i make the thumbnails bigger i use more from the place right, but the gallery is not placed at center position as well!

———–
Some positions are set to centered or left by default. Normally one can also change this manually with adding or changing codes in the index.php of your templatefolder. Those changes will be applied to all modules in that position globally.
This is some quick workaround codestuff, one can also wrap the code of the modules’ php with some div container and position the module this way…<div style=””>Modulecode</div>. This way one can also adjust text styles for just one module manually, these changes will be applied only to the module and not any other part of the site. This should really be seen only as some quick workaround, as sometimes, the changes are taken over also for other parts of the position when using IE, but not all the time, so just some workaround and not the best solution and always test it first.
Otherwise, the CSS styles of the template are always taken over by the module in the most cases. So, a module will look quite different in another template, as how it looked in the one you have it from. Certainly you can whether apply a new module suffix in the module admin and place related code into the template.css file to give the module a new styling or do the same coding in the modules php as mentioned above.
Anyone having the details for this specific template and module, please post it in addition, thank you!

February 1, 2009 at 7:49 pm #289128shouldnt be hard, but like i said before a live url would make it a lot more easy.
Can write a really long story without helping the thread starter or post things like this “could” work.
When having live url its more doable to give a sollution that WILL work.wooohanetworks Friendwooohanetworks

February 1, 2009 at 7:55 pm #289129What I wrote WORKS, there may be better solutions, applying this or not. Anyway, not everyone likes to share live urls, for good reasons, also when it is not you who are the reasons in some cases, as you guys wonna help but you know…;)

February 1, 2009 at 8:11 pm #2891321. Client does not like it.
2. Developers should not do this with clients sites without permission.
3. Also hackers can pay for membership, a lot of fun hackers out there too.
4. A bunch of unrelated people can access a site under development
5. A bunch of unrelated people can access a live site without any use, plus unneeded traffic , especially clients will not like the people visiting for no reason but looking as there was some link in one or more forums or signatures etc., etc., etc..The list goes on…I know no reason to post a live url in a forum except you desperately need help but there are so many other ways to solve a problem, e.g. the new confidential “request help by staff” function, a support ticket or to use professional help right away, to ask friends you know very good and so on and so on….;)

Live URL comes tomorrow, at the moment the side is on a local server.
I posted it when the url is ready!

February 1, 2009 at 8:51 pm #289136From that pictures it shows like he/she wants a place to place the gallery module in the middle of the site(mainbody area), why not try banner, banner1 or ja-news module position?

February 1, 2009 at 9:15 pm #289138No that would be something else, from my understanding he or she wants to have the gallery just a little bit more on the right in position user 5, so to align the module centered, where the position is aligned to left by default but the gallery shall be centered. That is why I mentioned it.
