Setting the meta-data to ‘Gallery’ I want to display the contents of an image directory as a slideshow. How do I do this – what I have achieved so far is a gallery of images inserted into a table in my content page. I want all the images to show from an image folder. Slideshow lite does this but I cannot see how to embed this module in content.

You just need to create a Joomla article with “gallery” content type selection in Metadata Options. And put all images you want to display in gallery into the article content with below format (src, title, alt):
<img src="images/joomlart/demo/slideshow/gallery1-1.jpg" border="0" alt="orem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetuer In adipiscing pretium metus Morbi" title="Vivamus justo habitant metus et ac adipiscing" />

Also could I embed a slideshow module using {loadposition position-x}. I have tried this but no joy.phong nam Friendphong nam

<blockquote>Is there not a command to do this/ </blockquote>
In this case, beside using the Gallery content type, you can create a Slideshow module directly at home-1 position. Then put below suffx text in Module Class Suffix (Advanced options) to set the position order of this module on homepage layout:
grid-3×2 grid-pos-1 slideshow
Make sure you leave a space before suffix text and you can change the grid size and position (grid-pos-1) if you want. This allows to display the Slideshow with images as a grid item.
