September 12, 2011 at 9:52 pm #412239If I am understanding your issue correctly, can you not simply reorder the display of the modules for that particular position?
In other words, when you open the gallery module, there is a parameter under “enable/disable” where you can change the order of the module stacking order.

September 13, 2011 at 3:30 pm #412400It looks like it’s a z-index issue relative to the slideshow, main navigation and image lightbox.
Can you do me a favor and, within your Template Manager, temporarily set “Optimize CSS” to “No.”
I’ll then be able to tell you which CSS lines to modify.1 user says Thank You to TomC for this useful post

bye</blockquote>Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
Here is what you need to do . . . .
Open your template.css file and at line 656 you will see the following:
#ja-mainnav {
background: url("../images//mainnav-bg1.gif") repeat-x scroll left bottom #73031B;
z-index: 120;}
Change the “z-index” number to “10”
THEN, Open style.css within modules/ja_slideshow/assets/themes/travel
at line 22, you will see:
#ja-slideshow .ja-slide-thumbs-wrap.ja-horizontal, .ja-horizontal {
background: url("tab-slideshow.png") repeat scroll left top transparent !important;
border-bottom: 1px solid #C4C2C3;
bottom: 0;
height: 40px !important;
position: absolute;
width: 960px !important;
z-index: 200;}
Change the “z-index” to “20”
THEN, same style.css file, at line 54 . .
.maskDesc {
background: url("bg-desc.png") repeat scroll left bottom transparent !important;
bottom: 40px !important;
z-index: 100;}
Change the “z-index” to “10”
SAVE ALL CHANGES – REFRESH YOUR SITE
Your Gallery Pop-up image SHOULD now appear over the navigation and slideshow menus.
January 31, 2012 at 10:05 pm #436390Hello Tom,
I follow the instructions you provided in the post above but I still have z-index problems. Please look the attached pic: there are two sub menus overlapping (the second one is difficult to see Invasive Species>Pathogens>Chytrid Fungus)and all three are behind the main banner. Could you please help me out with this one?
Thanks

So, is your primary issue the main transparent banner overlapping the mega-menu drop-downs?1 user says Thank You to TomC for this useful post
February 2, 2012 at 7:35 pm #436671Hi Tom,
Yes, it WAS my main problem. We decided to change the overall menu structure. We don’t have submenus cascading from other submenus anymore, so this is not a problem now.
… but thank you for your always professional assistance.
